The other side of my kitchen needed some tender loving so onto the next side I went.
My kitchen looked a little dated especially in comparison with the rest of the house. Here are pictures of the opposite side of my kitchen.
Time to degrease and gut it out!
I wanted to remove that old hood range that was attached to the useless cabinets so out that went!
Just like the other side we needed to heighten the cabinets to the ceiling.
I also wanted the plate rack so thanks to Pinterest I found a DIY project on how to make your own plate rack. It was very easy it only took me about 3 days to complete.
The custom drawer inserts I made following this DIY article!
The pots and pan pull out drawers I bought from The Container Store.
– the bamboo pull out drawer
– the chrome pull out drawer
The entire kitchen project took about 3 months to complete. That is considering the fact that my husband and I work full time jobs. It was plenty of late nights and long weekends, but it was worth it! ☺️
If you’ve been following my blog you’ll know by know that I am a DYI girl! I love doing big projects mainly although at times I do get involved in the arts and crafts realm as well.
Well one of the areas of my house that was a little nerving was one of my bathrooms. I wanted to try something different to the boring walls and boring color. So my favorite spot to go with Pinterest as always and I got into Wainscoting walls. I love the look of that. My style is normally modern and chic but the traditional look of wainscoting caught my eye.
There also was a cabinet in there that had long tall doors attached. The cabinet doors were antique however I felt that this cabinet should be the focal point in the bathroom. So I removed the doors and opened up the appearance of the cabinet. I wanted to stay with soft color tones so I painted it a pretty gray.
To say the least I am happy with the results. Now if I can save up some more money I can hopefully get the deep soaker tub and backsplash I that I want.
