Kitchen inspiration – Phase 2

The other side of my kitchen needed some tender loving so onto the next side I went.

BEFORE

My kitchen looked a little dated especially in comparison with the rest of the house. Here are pictures of the opposite side of my kitchen.

IN PROGRESS

Time to degrease and gut it out!

I wanted to remove that old hood range that was attached to the useless cabinets so out that went!

Just like the other side we needed to heighten the cabinets to the ceiling.

FINISHING UP

I also wanted the plate rack so thanks to Pinterest I found a DIY project on how to make your own plate rack. It was very easy it only took me about 3 days to complete.

AFTER

The custom drawer inserts I made following this DIY article!

The pots and pan pull out drawers I bought from The Container Store.

the bamboo pull out drawer

the chrome pull out drawer

The entire kitchen project took about 3 months to complete. That is considering the fact that my husband and I work full time jobs. It was plenty of late nights and long weekends, but it was worth it! ☺️

A Beverage drawer

During my kitchen renovation (a post that’s coming soon) I envisioned my kitchen having a beverage station (how cool would that be?!)

I would have loved to have one of those fancy cabinet storage units like this:

However, I got creative and did something different. I designed a beverage drawer and section.

I measured the inside of the drawer and bought these Silver mesh drawer organizers from the container store to store tea packages, k-cups, and everything else associated with beverages! Lol.

I also made my own drawer organizer/dividers for my beverage and desert silverware. I absolutely love this drawer! It’s definitely a drawer that you don’t mind sending your guests to go and make their own beverage for coffee or tea time!

Here’s my work:

Have you ever tried Traditional Medicinals – Chamomile and Lavender tea? This is the best nighttime tea to help you relax and unwind for a good nights rest.
